Designing GUIs for CraftEngine
CraftEngine builds the pack; the design is yours. This editor produces the glyph definitions, the textures and the text - and shows you beforehand what the client will draw.
What comes out
A CraftEngine tab in the Output panel with the glyph config for the project, the text for the open module, and the whole folder as a ZIP. The image files are named after their content, so the same texture used twice is one file.
Same layout, same pixels
The plugin export walks the same layout the canvas drew. Characters and tags differ between plugins, positions do not: a glyph's place depends on its texture, its height and its ascent.
Colours, shadows and moved text
All of it carries over to CraftEngine, including bold and italic runs and text that has been shifted or resized. Where the editor cannot promise that (for instance when an italic run is moved vertically and the client shears it sideways), it warns on the design itself, long before the config leaves the browser.
Build the interface once and take the CraftEngine config out of the same screen.
Open the editor Runs in the browser. No installation.
